Some shots from when I visted the diner in 2007.

Looks like the inter has changed a lot! It’s a little hard to tell from the picture, but does the top edge of the hood curve towards the center of the diner?

It certainly has. The backbar’s been bumped back, as have the counter and stools, to make space for a wider aisle between the stools and booths. Lots of other mods. The hood curves towards the center at the top. “Retro” cigarette machine and jukebox, as well as other retro items that you would have never seen originally. Barbers chairs at the ends of the counter. There’s been a lot of remodeling.

Great Daddypops pics. I’m an amateur model maker (just completed the Miss Worcester in MA) and Daddypops is on my list of potential subjects. Currently doing research on Phil’s Diner in N. Hollywood, CA. Any advice on visual refernece material? I’m also looking for pictures of the Monmouth Queen Diner, formerly of Eatontown, NJ.

Daddypops is the best little diner of all.
