I stopped in to the Laurel Tastee with a friend tonight. A different friend’s grandfather was working the cash register. The hamburgers, as always, were excellent, goey messes of melted cheese inside a toasted bun; the perfect comfort food. I love the crushed ice the tastee does in its sodas. The place was almost empty tonight, save for the televisions, showing keno balls and news from the Gaza Strip.

And here’s the Laurel Tavern- home to God, if you’ve been following your Zippy the Pinhead, along with the “Hardwood Pet Rug” store. I love broken signs.

I found your site from the FL. I live in Laurel, MD. Great to see your mention of the TD.
